Step 1: Prepare Your Pack Before putting the pack on, release the following: Shoulder straps Shoulder stabilizers Hip belt straps Hip belt stabilizers Sternum strap Ensure the shoulder straps are in the neutral position on the frame, using slots 2 & 4. Step 2: Position the Hip Belt Lift the pack onto your back and position the hip belt. Some prefer it lower on their pelvis, others higher on the waist. If unsure, start with the padded section sitting on top of your hip bones—you can adjust later. Clip the hip belt buckle together and pull the two tensioning straps to tighten. It should feel firm but comfortable, with minimal weight on your shoulders. The padded section should extend just past your hips. Step 3: Adjust the Shoulder Straps The shoulder straps should follow the natural curve of your shoulders. Pull down on them for a snug fit. The attachment point where the shoulder strap stabiliser joins the shoulder strap should sit at the top of your shoulder.
