The Seabuck Venom Speargun is specially engineered for durability, power, and accuracy in New Zealand conditions. New Zealand is known for its rough waters, strong currents, diverse ocean environments, and large pelagic species, such as kingfish. Whether you’re diving in the tranquil, turquoise waters of the Bay of Islands or the messy chop of the wild West Coast, the Seabuck Venom Speargun will rise to the challenge.
The barrel of the speargun is made of aircraft-grade aluminum, which has an extremely high strength threshold, and the butt and handle are injection moulded for comfort and functionality. The speargun comes equipped with a single primeline 16mm latex rubber (also available with dual 14mm rubbers), Dyneema wishbone and a 6.5mm single barb Inox SharkFin shaft, which packs plenty of power for hunting large fish.
The tough and durable 180kg break strain mono shooting line, connected to a 10mm bungee, is more than capable of taking down a stubborn kingfish, and the open muzzle design allows for superior line of sight and a quieter shot (see below for information on a closed muzzle option).
You can choose from a range of different sizes. As a general rule, the smaller 75-90mm configurations are more suited to South Island conditions, shallow water, reef environments, and smaller fish, such as butterfish, blue cod, kahawai, trevally, gurnard and snapper. The larger 110-120cm configurations are suited to open water hunting around the top of the South Island and North Island and larger snapper, trevally and kingfish. However, it can also be used around rocks and reefs.
Designed by Kiwis for New Zealand spearos, the Seabuck Venom Speargun is an excellent all-rounder that’s built to last.
The Seabuck Venom Speargun can also be configured with a closed muzzle, which requires a Tahitian Inox Shaft (choose from 6.5mm, 7mm, or 7.5mm). If you would like a closed muzzle speargun, please purchase the Seabuck Venom Closed Muzzle Bundle.
