Do you offer longer term finance?

Yes, we have partnered with Gem by Latitude. Also known as Gem Finance or Latitude Finance. You can get up-to 12 months interest free on purchases when you spend over $200.

The product I want is out of stock, can I order an out of stock item and place it on back order?

No, unfortunately we do not put items on back order. However, we can notify you when the product is back in stock. On the product page, choose your size and click “email when available” then add your email to be notified.

If you have placed an order and the item has sold out, our customer services team will get in contact to discuss alternative options that suit you.

Can I pre-order Bushbuck products?

Yes, a Pre-Order button will be found on products that are available for pre-order.

We do this for products that have finished production and are in transit to New Zealand. We have an estimated arrival time for pre-ordered products, but occasionally products can be delayed.

Our customer services team will keep you updated if any arrival changes occur. Pre-orders get sent out as soon the stock arrives at our warehouse. 

How do I leave a review on a product?

If you have purchased a product and wish to leave a review, you can so by going to the product page on the website and placing a review under the review tab.

Where are your products made?

Bushbuck is a NZ owned and operated company, All of our gear is designed here in NZ by our team in Christchurch. The products are tested here in NZ and most importantly every detail of the product has been considered to enhance quality and endurance for the outdoors. 

Like most products in your home and on the NZ market our gear is made in China so that you can receive a quality product, using high end materials and technology at an exceptional price which we pass on to you. We have seriously considered making some products such as clothing/jackets In NZ. The reality is that all the fabrics and zips and chemical treatments all come from Asia the only difference is the place it is produced. We are more than happy to chat further around this if you would like to get in touch.

Our club pricing uses a unique discount code and our eccomerce platform only allows one discount code to be used at checkout. However you can purchase as many club items or on sale items in the same cart as you would like.

Can I redeem Bushbuck Club points during a sale?

Unfortunately not as this is a constraint of our Loyalty Program. You can use them at any other time however!


What freight companies does Bushbuck use?

New Zealand domestic orders are primarily sent with Courier Post. Roof-Top tents are sent with Owens in New Zealand and Mainfreight in Australia. International orders are sent with DHL and NZ Post.

What is the usual timeframe for shipping?

National delivery

We do our best to ship orders as fast as possible. Most standard orders within New Zealand will be delivered by overnight courier. If you place your order before 1pm, you should receive it the very next day. In most cases, it should take a maximum of 2-3 days for standard orders to get picked and packed in our warehouse and delivered to your doorstep. 

Rural delivery

If you live at a rural address, please allow an extra 3 days for delivery. However, if you would like to get your parcel sooner, we recommend that you get it delivered to your local post office or courier drop-off point and arrange pick-up from there.

International delivery 

Standard delivery times to our customers in Australia vary depending on the location. Most deliveries to urban city addresses arrive in 3-4 business days from dispatch. However, deliveries to rural addresses in Australia can take upwards of 10 business days to arrive.

Other international delivery times can vary and we do our best to provide an accurate shipping time estimate at checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we sell internationally. Our main dispatch centre is based in Christchurch, New Zealand, but you can buy Bushbuck products, with the exception of the Armourdillo roof-top tent and spearguns (large, bulky items), from almost anywhere in the world. We also have a dispatch centre in Sydney, Australia, that holds many of our most popular products.

Please note: international countries may have tariffs, tax or duties to pay, these are not Bushbuck's responsibility. Please read our International Shipping Terms and Conditions to understand more.

Is there international tax, GST or tariffs on my order?

If you live in NZ this will not apply. Orders shipped outside of New Zealand may be subject to import taxes, customs duties and fees levied by the destination country.

The recipient of an international shipment may be subject to such import taxes, customs duties and fees, which are levied once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. Additional charges for customs clearance must be fulfilled by the recipient; Bushbuck (“Bushbuck Limited”) has no control over these charges, nor can Bushbuck predict what they may be.

Do I qualify for free shipping?

Occasionally we run free shipping campaigns. The terms and conditions of the free shipping vary from campaign to campaign and will always be outlined on the website or campaign email. Free shipping sometimes only includes New Zealand urban addresses. It usually excludes very large items such as our Roof tents.

Do I receive tracking for my order?

When your order is dispatched from the warehouse you will be sent an email with tracking details on it. There will be a clickable link which will take you to the order tracking section of the respective freight carrier. If you have any issues with tracking your order do not hesitate to contact us at 

My order tracking claims the package has been delivered, but I can't find it. What do I do?

Please check the common areas where your package may have been left. If you cannot find it, we will need to lodge an investigation with the courier for you. This can take 2-3 business days to be completed from when we are contacted. If you require your items urgently, you can reorder them while you wait for the investigation to be completed. We’ll always do what we can to help resolve these issues.

What is your return policy and how do I process a return?

We’re 100% committed to providing quality products to all our customers, which is why we back them up with a generous refund/return/repair policy. You have 30 days to decide if an item is right for you. We will refund any item(s) provided that you process your return within 30 days and the item(s) are in as-new condition, have not been damaged, soiled, washed, altered or worn, and all labels and tags are attached.

What is your standard product warranty?

You are covered against materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase under our product warranty. Learn more

Why do we need to see the product to do a formal assessment?

Our Christchurch based repairs team are experts in assessing defects and faults. On the rare occasion that an issue should arise with your Bushbuck product, they are the people best equipped to make a recommendation on how to address the issue and resolve it quickly.

We prefer to have our repairs department review all claims so that each is treated fairly and consistently. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you for being without your product for a period of time while it is assessed. It is necessary to ensure that you receive the best possible treatment and solution.

I've got waterproof zips on my jacket/pack, but water is still coming through. Is this covered under warranty?

Our PU-coated zips are water-resistant as opposed to fully waterproof. Water-resistant zips keep out most of the rain while remaining easy to operate, however if exposed to prolonged rain, moisture will come through. Fully waterproof zips are seam sealed to ensure they lock out all moisture.

When you are purchasing a garment or piece of equipment, check if the product is waterproof or water-resistant and look to see whether the zips are water-resistant or waterproof.

My zip doesn't close anymore, what do I do?

One of the most common issues one can run into is a zip slider that doesn't work properly. When the zip keeps splitting after trying to close it, it's time to have a look at the zip slider. Often a quick fix will solve the problem in no time.

Use a pair of pliers to gently squeeze the opening in the slider together (where the teeth go through) and see if the zip will close correctly now. Be careful not to squeeze too hard as this will prevent the slider from moving altogether and can damage the zip. Gently apply force to both sides evenly. Try a little first and put a bit more on if the teeth still don't come together.

This should prolong the zips function. If the slider fails again, contact us to arrange a replacement.


What do we do with your information?

When you purchase something from our store, as part of the buying and selling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, address and email address. When you browse our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system. Email marketing (if applicable): With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products and other updates.

Is purchasing online safe? What security measures are in place?

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.

We use the secure Hosted Payment page solution from DPS to process online orders. Customers can see their cards being authorized in real time, all in an SSL secure environment. The Hosted Payment page enables us to offer customers a safe and speedy online shopping experience.

DPS is committed to protecting the security of your data. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorised access, use or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide in computer servers with limited access that are located in controlled facilities secured by the latest in surveillance and security technology. When we transmit sensitive information (such as a credit card numbers) over the internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Credit card details stored on site are encrypted using 168bit 3DES encryption. DPS is also certified AIS compliant.

How do you get my consent?

When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Shopify Information

Our store is hosted on Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall. Payment: If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
